5 actors that we would've loved to see as Super-Man and 5 guys that we would've hated!

Henry Cavil was up for some serious competition when it came to winning the title role of 'Man of Steel'..

The list of  actors who were in various stages of consideration include:

• Matthew Goode (Ozymandias in Snyder’s Watchmen) is said to be Cavill’s closest contender, and even declined the title role in Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter in hopes of winning Superman.
• Matthew Bomer (White Collar, Chuck, Tru Calling)
• Armie Hammer (The Social Network, Reaper, Gossip Girl)
• Joe Manganiello (True Blood, One Tree Hill, Spider-Man 3)
• Colin O’Donaghue (The Rite)

With less than a year away with of the Zack Synder directed / Chris Nolan produced 'Man of Steel' release, We wanted to share our list of 3 & 3.  3 guys who we would've loved to see play the Man Steel and 3 guys who would have sucked!  We need an actor that not only can fly in a red cape, but also be able to pull of the Clark Kent character.


List of 3 Hollywood Actors that would've bombed!

1.  Channing Tatum



Yes, he's got the muscles, and certainly the fan following. But Tatum would have been a boring Super-Man. We need someone who brings a sensitive touch to the Clark Kent character, but also a strong and fierce touch to the Man of Steel!


2. Paul Walker  

Hollywood actor PAUL WALKER turned down the chance to become the new SUPERMAN, because he doesn't want to be remembered as the superhero for the rest of his life. THE FAST AND THE FURIOUS star was tempted to accept the coveted role because of its financial implications, but decided against it.

Does he got the looks?  Yes!  But again, Walker would've been a boring choice!

3. Matthew Bomer 

Boomer does a great job on his USA show 'White Colllar' and he was Brett Ratner's choice for the part.  He's got the certain attributes that would have done for the Clark Kent part, but we need a more aggressive Super-Man.

1. Adam Carolla 

 Yes, He's Jimmy Kimmel's best friend and business partner. And yes, he's a bit mature, but he's tall, dark and certainly handsome.  With the all the craziness in the world today, the world can certainly use a humorous and goofy Super-Man. Not only will Carolla be a great Clark Kent, but he's also go the physique to pull of the blue tights and red cape!  

2. Gary David

Our very own, Co- Founder of FilmJunkeez- Gary David! He is certainly tall. He's an all-american boy that would certainly bring some southern hospitality to the world of Super Man. Gary is very intelligent, and would certainly bring a fun touch to Clark Kent.  Gary is also a great dancer for which would really help bring the character some realness. We need to see Super-man have some fun this time around..some booty dancing, and a few shots of patron with his buddies!  

My vote goes to my buddy / partner in crime- Gary David!
