Entourage Movie: Green Light!!

A big screen version of hit HBO series "Entourage" is now officially underway. Deadline reports that Warner Bros. Pictures has finally given a green light to the project based on the popular TV show that aired from 2004 to 2011.

The movie project will be directed by the "Entourage" series creator Doug Ellin, who also pens the script and executive produces it along with Mark Wahlberg and Stephen Levinson. The original cast members are expected to reprise their roles in the big screen take.

Words are, the studio is preparing deals to bring back Adrian Grenier as Vincent Chase, Kevin Connolly as "E" Murphy, Kevin Dillon as Johnny Drama, Jerry Ferrara as Turtle and Jeremy Piven as Ari Gold. Rex Lee, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Scott Caan, Rhys Coiro and Beverly D'Angelo are also expected to return.

Apart from the studio's newly-granted green light, there's still no other updates on the project. It is still unclear when the production is set to kick off. The original series revolved around themes of male friendship and followed real-life situations in modern-day Hollywood. The show was famously known for its array of guest stars that included at least two famous persons in each episode.

Back in 2012, Jeremy Piven shared on "The Talk" that the "Entourage" team were excited about the movie project. He gushed, "We're teed up for a movie in a way that, you know, Ari has this conundrum that he's facing, which is either to rule the world or to honor his love to his wife."

J.J. Abaram's got a new job! Directing the next Star Wars

George Lucas & J.J. Abarams

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2013/01/26/jj-abrams-episode-vii-directing-disney-star-wars_n_2557496.html?ncid=txtlnkushpmg00000047
LOS ANGELES — It's official. The force is with J.J. Abrams.
The Walt Disney Co. issued a statement Friday night confirming reports that had been circulating for two days that Abrams, Emmy-award-winning creator of TV's "Lost" and director of 2009's "Star Trek" movie, has been pegged to direct the seventh installment of the "Star Wars" franchise.
"J.J. is the perfect director to helm this," said Kathleen Kennedy, the movie's producer and president of Lucasfilm, which was acquired by Disney last month for $4.06 billion.
"Beyond having such great instincts as a filmmaker, he has an intuitive understanding of this franchise. He understands the essence of the Star Wars experience," Kennedy said in the statement.
The movie will have a script from "Toy Story 3" writer Michael Arndt and a 2015 release.
Lawrence Kasdan, who wrote "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi" in the original trilogy, will work as a consultant on the new project.
Abrams has already headed the reboot of another storied space franchise, "Star Trek," for rival studio Paramount Pictures. The next installment in that series, "Star Trek: Into Darkness," is set to hit theaters May 17.
But he has long been known as a "Star Wars" devotee. Abrams spoke about the plot of the original "Star Wars" in the lecture series "TED Talks" in March 2007, and reportedly became enamored of "Lost" co-creator Damon Lindelof partly because Lindelof was wearing a "Star Wars" T-shirt when they first met.
In 2009, Abrams told the Los Angeles Times: "As a kid, `Star Wars' was much more my thing than `Star Trek' was."
In Friday night's statement he called it an "absolute honor" to get the job.
"I may be even more grateful to George Lucas now than I was as a kid," Abrams said.
Lucas himself said in the statement that "I've consistently been impressed with J.J. as a filmmaker and storyteller. He's an ideal choice to direct the new Star Wars film and the legacy couldn't be in better hands."

Terminator 5 with Arnold?

Arnold Schwarzenegger Confirms He Will Be Back For Terminator 5 image

Arnold Schwarzenegger had a very rough weekend. The Last Stand, the movie featuring his first starring role since 2003, absolutely bombed at the box office, opening in ninth place and making only $6.2 million (to put that in perspective, it made less than both Django Unchained and Les Miserables, which are both now in their fourth week of release). The fortunate thing about Schwarzenegger's career, however, is that he has more than a few franchises that he can fall back on. But none of his original titles are bigger than The Terminator, so it's no surprise that after this past weekend's events the Austrian star has reaffirmed that he's ready to get back in the shades and leather jacket.

Because The Last Stand won't open in the UK until this Thursday, Schwarzenegger is now in London promoting the movie and while talking to a reporter from Bleeding Cool he confirmed that he is attached to star in the upcoming Terminator 5. Sadly the report doesn't contain any actual quotes from the star, but the development is actually the second big one in the past week. Last Thursday we reported that Laeta Kalogridis and Patrick Lussier, writers of Shutter Island and Drive Angry, respectively, have been hired to pen a new draft of the screenplay for Annapurna Pictures and Skydance. The sequel doesn't currently have a director, though if Fast Five helmer Justin Lin finds room in his schedule the job is still likely his

But Terminator 5 isn't the only sequel that Schwarzenegger is currently developing. Earlier this month he once again confirmed interest in a sequelto Twins called Triplets with Danny DeVito and Eddie Murphy, and back in October we learned that he is signed on to return as the legendary barbarian in Conan The Conqueror. In terms of more original content the star does have Mikael HÃ¥fström's The Tomb coming out later this year and David Ayer's Ten set for early 2014. Let's hope at least one of those does well or the post-governor part of Arnold's career could end up just being sequels and reboots.

Lance Armstrong played by Bradley Cooper?

After being nominated for Oscar's Best Actor thanks to his role as a mentally-troubled man in "Silver Linings Playbook", Bradley Cooper aims at a more challenging role for his next film. The "Hit and Run" actor has expressed interest to play Lance Armstrong in a planned biopic to be produced by J.J. Abrams.

Speaking to BBC, Cooper said that he would "love" to star as the disgraced cyclist. "I would be interested in that," the Philadelphia-born thesp added. "I think he's fascinating. What a fascinating character."

Just a few days ago, it was reported that Paramount Pictures is developing a movie about Armstrong which will be based on "Cycle of Lies: The Fall of Lance Armstrong", a proposal book written by The New York Times sports reporter Juliet Macur. She has covered Armstrong news for more than a decade.

Bad Robot's J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk will produce the film project, which still hasn't found its director and screenwriter and announced its cast. Cooper himself admitted he hadn't had any discussion about the possibility of him starring as Armstrong.

Apart from Cooper, other names who have been mentioned as potential candidates include Matt DamonJake GyllenhaalMichael Fassbender and Christian Bale. "I remember Matt Damon was going to do his autobiography at one point years ago," Cooper said. "I remember thinking, that would be a great character, I'd love to play that character. I would love to do something, I think he's pretty fascinating."

Scarface becomes Coach Joe Paterno?

Exclusive: The Scarface team of director Brian De Palma and Al Pacino are re-teaming for Happy Valley, the working title of a film that will tell the story of Penn State head football coach Joe Paterno. Paterno’s legend was undone by revelations he and others in the football program were aware that former defensive coordinator Jerry Sandusky was molesting children, and did little  to stop it, supposedly fearing bad publicity for the powerhouse gridiron program they presided over. Wall Street producer Edward R. Pressman has optioned the bestselling book Paterno by Joe Posnanski. Dave McKenna (American History X and Blow) is making a deal to write the script. The Edward R. Pressman Film Corporation is backing the project. Pacino became attached to play Paterno when a package including the book was shopped by ICM last fall. Pressman will produce with Pacino’s manager, Rick Nicita, who was part of that original package. »

Michael Keaton wanted to do a Batman Origin Story

Before Christian Bale, George Clooney and Val Kilmer had all donned the famous cowl and punched various criminals in their various faces, the Batcave was occupied by Michael Keaton. Teaming up with Tim Burton, the dark knight of gothic movies, they gave us the first serious cinematic outing for the Caped Crusader in 1989’s Batman, followed up by 1992’s Batman Returns.

It could have been so much more though.
In a recent WTF podcast interview with Marc Maron, Keaton revealed that there were discussions for a third installment of the series and that it would have followed quite closely in the footsteps of Christopher Nolan’s Batman Begins. Keaton revealed:
You look at where [Nolan] went, which is exactly what I wanted to do when I was having meetings about the third one. I said you want to see how this guy started. We’ve got a chance here to fix whatever we kind of maybe went off. This could be brilliant. Didn’t want to do it, so I didn’t want to do it.
A Batman Begins with Keaton in the Batsuit? I would’ve been down with that. Would it have been better than Nolan’s own Dark Knight origin story though?
I guess that comes down to whose portrayal of Batman you prefer. I think that Bale was by far a better Bruce Wayne, but I’m a really big fan of Keaton’s Batman. His was a less muscular version of the World’s Greatest Detective, but his Bat-voice was so much better than Bale’s painful rasp.
That being said, I think Nolan created a near masterpiece in Batman Begins. It set a new benchmark for superhero movies and showed that a blockbuster could be driven by plot and character, as well as being spectacular.

What do you guys think though? Would a Burton/Keaton Batman origin story have been better than Nolan’s effort? And whose portrayal of Batman did you prefer? Join the debate and drop your thoughts in the comments below.

A New Image Shows Troubled Times For Henry Cavill In 'Man of Steel'

A new image from Zack Snyder‘s new iteration of Superman has been released online. Anticipation is running high for Man of Steel, and fans are eager to see if a new Supes franchise can finally be kicked off right.
This new image doesn’t reveal much other than the fact that Henry Cavill is indeed a very handsome man and that Snyder has settled on a very washed-out color scheme for the movie. However, coupled with the poster featuring Superman in handcuffs, the photo has me highly intrigued as to how these circumstances fit into the movie’s overall plot:

Judging from the helicopters and tanks in the background, the still is from the scene we saw in the recent trailer where Superman and Lois Lane (Amy Adams) grip hands while confronted by the U.S. military. Presumably, thats shortly before the Last Son of Krypton is marched away in handcuffs.
Anyway, great image, but enough of this Superman - show me Zod!

PAUL WALKER LOOKS FURIOUS WHILE DRIVING FAST IN THE TRAILER FOR VEHICLE 19

See Bruce Wayne's True Face By Morphing Every Actor Who Has Played Him

Christian Bale. George Clooney. Val Kilmer. Michael Keaton. Adam West. Among this group there is an international action star, a triple threat whose been nominated for Oscars in directing, writing and acting, a suave chameleon of a performer, one of the biggest stars of the 1980s, and a quintessential camp luminary. Despite their differences, these five men form a very exclusive fraternity, as they have all played Bruce Wayne in the flesh in the movies.
Inspired by such films as Batman: The Movie, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Batman & Robin, and Batman Begins, Redditor morphinapg created a composite of what Bruce Wayne, the millionaire with a double life, might look like in real life. Check it out below, thanks to a tip from io9:

As someone who has whiled away countless hours in Photoshop for work and play, I confess I am deeply impressed by this composite. Sure, there are some weird shadows on his shirt and on the right side of his neck, but the stitching is overall smooth and subtle. There's none of the overt airbrushing that makes people in many movie posters look like pore-less plastic dolls. Basically, this Bruce Wayne looks like he could exist.

Most impressive, you can recognize a bit of Clooney, Keaton, Kilmer, Bale and West, even though you might struggle to put your finger on which parts are theirs. My only real complaint is that after so many incarnations of Batman, couldn't we get a better head of hair than this? Still, it's a striking image. Now, to make this man complete—in a kind of Weird Science way—all you'd need is a sound clip of longtime Barman voice actor Kevin Conroy, and you'd be all set.
