Bollywood Boxing Blackburn Rovers: Salman Khan with Lennox Lewis
It was the most unlikely Twitter source to grab our attention, but there it was, a tweet from former heavyweight world boxing champion Lennox Lewis, serenading none other than Bollywood superstar Salman Khan.
The retired boxer posted the image Monday night, saying: “The guy on the left is Salman Khan, the biggest movie star in India. The guy in the middle... Not so much.”
The middle man in reference is none other than director of Venkys and owner of Blackburn Rovers FC, Balaji Rao.
Now before you go scratching your head, Salman and Venkys have a long-standing history, which goes beyond their Celebrity Cricket League relationship where the corporate is the title sponsor of the Khan-managed charity initiative.
Could the next season feature Lewis in the team, which in the past has seen the likes of Govinda, Suneil Shetty, Riteish Deshmukh, among others?
When quizzed by a fan, Lewis admitted he met the actor during his visit to Mumbai.
Well, we should know in a few months if Lewis is a part of CCL.
And if the smiling faces and visible camaraderie is anything to go by, we at least know will not be signing up for Team Shah Rukh Khan any time soon.
